Just arrived in Australia in my early 20,s for a working holiday for 12 months, remember to get football results had to watch TV news at the pub on Sunday Evening and hope they showed the results, some weeks they did some they didn’t, or wait for the Monday newspapers, phone calls back then cost an arm and a leg and of course no internet, happy days though, very different world.

Went to Majorca. Managed to see Real Mallorca take on Real Madrid in a friendly. It was great seeing Hugo Sanchez, Emilio Butragueno et al not long after the 1986 World Cup.

The wanker taxi drivers refused to take us with all our Madrid merch, so we had to walk all the way back to the resort.

Left an advertising sales job where I was earning 2K a week, to go to Drama school where my grant was £800 per 10 week term.

Don't regret it for a moment.
